TIGERS | AGES 4 - 6
The ATA Tiger curriculum program was developed specifically for preschool age children ages 4 through 6. This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline. In addition, it is designed to improve children's motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions.
This curriculum should provide students with the most fun and exciting training methods available for this age group. This program works in conjunction with other programs, thereby emphasizing the same important monthly themes and value system. Upon graduation, ATA Tigers graduate into the Karate Kids program with ease as the material is consistent.
JUNIORS | AGES 7 - 12
The foundation of the Karate for Kids curriculum is the education and development of life-skills such as positive mental attitude, high goal setting, perseverance, self-control and confidence. Karate for Kids training is designed to be fun and fulfilling for each student. This is because Taekwondo is an individual activity rather than a team sport. Therefore every student is an active and valuable participant in class. They work out with kids their own age and progress at their own pace. The ATA Karate for Kids program is perfect for parents looking for an activity that is not just great exercise but that also teaches their school age children lessons they will use throughout their life. The way children learn and what motivates them is the reason we offer a program exclusively for children.
TEEN & ADULT | AGES 13+
The ATA Martial Arts curriculum provides a great way for teens and adults to stay in shape. It won’t become dull or routine because as soon as you get better and continue learning, there are always more challenges ahead to keep you inspired and coming back for more!
This is a hard question to answer without trying a class first. We have had children as young as 4 years old be sucessful in our program. Try a class for free.
No, you are not too old to begin martial arts training. Taekwondo regularly has students start at all ages. Taekwondo is a great way to improve your fitness and flexibility.

Taekwondo is a Korean Martial Art that focuses on punching and kicking techniques while on your feet. Jujitusu is Japanese Martial Art that focuses on techniques applicable while entangled with your opponent on the ground. Both martial arts have a practical self-defense component and both have a sport/competition component. At the higher levels, a broad range of skills are introduced into our curriculum including elements of BJJ.
We recommend attending at least 2 classes per week. Our schedule is very flexible and includes classes of all age groups 5 days of the week.
It takes approximately 3-5 years to reach black belt. But black belt in our system is really just a new beginning. We have enough curriculum to last a lifetime and the majority of our students train well past the 1st degree of Black Belt.
Does the school allow you to try a few classes for free before enrolling? Does the staff communicate well and create a genuine caring connection with each student?
In addition to the COVID health and safety protocols (click on the COVID section above for more details) we continuously monitor PHO restrictions and adjust our curriculum so that students can continue to receive the same great benefits (physical fitness, discipline, focus, self-defense) and stay within the most PHO restrictions.
